America’s Got Talent Season 16 star Madilyn Bailey recently had some good news to share with fans, as she revealed that she’s pregnant. Bailey and her husband James Benrud are expecting their first child together after two years of fertility struggles.
AGT Star Madilyn Bailey Announces Pregnancy
On Friday, Bailey took to social media to share a video announcing the happy news. In the clip, she and her husband can be seen sitting in the car and speaking to a nurse on speaker phone. The nurse reveals that Bailey is pregnant.
The YouTube star also included some clips from her two-year journey to getting pregnant, sharing that she underwent three surgeries, had 317 shots, and suffered a failed IVF transfer. She added that she was told she might never get pregnant.
However, the couple had one embryo left to try again. They found out they were expecting on March 17. The video ends with the news that Bailey is due to give birth in November of this year.
Bailey elaborated on her fertility struggles in an Instagram post, writing that she was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and told to “have a baby now or get a hysterectomy.” She also wrote that Benrud is “going to be the most amazing dad.”

Bailey auditioned for Season 16 of America’s Got Talent by singing an original song created from hate comments she received online. (The singer currently has over 9 million subscribers on YouTube.) The judges voted to send her through to the next round.
In the Quarterfinals, Bailey once again took the stage to sing “Titanium.” She was saved by the judges and moved on to the Semifinals, where she performed an original song called “Red Ribbon” in tribute to her late grandmother.
Unfortunately, she didn’t receive enough votes to advance to the Finals. Since appearing on the show, Bailey has released several singles and even put out a Christmas album.
