Nigeria has recorded 11 new cases of coronavirus in the West African country.
Naija News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed this in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Friday night, March 27.
According to the NCDC, of the eleven coronavirus cases recorded on Friday evening, eight were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, two in Enugu state and one in Edo State, southern Nigeria.
A human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, (SAN) has condemned the detention of former media aide to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, Salihu Tanko-Yakasai. Recall that operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) arrested Tanko-Yakasai after he criticised President Muhammadu Buhari-led government over insecurity.
He was subsequently sacked by Governor Ganduje for asking President Buhari to resign for failing to secure the country which he said led to the abduction of students at Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara State on Friday morning.
