The classic 1954 William Golding novel and freshman English class staple “Lord of the Flies” is getting another reboot — this time with an all-female cast, from male screenwriter-directors, Scott McGehee and David Siegel.

The National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abure, has accused the suspended treasurer of the party, Oluchi Opara, of attempting to tarnish his image. Naija News earlier reported that Opara had asked Abure to give an account of the donations received from Nigerians in the diaspora during the campaign tour of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the United States. Opara claimed that Abure used the party’s name to raise funds during the United States campaign tour and used proxy accounts to withdraw money from the party.

Since wrapping the critically acclaimed Stephen Graham vehicle, producer Bart Ruspoli’s Ascendant Films and Hester Ruoff’s Burton Fox Films have forged a partnership that’s currently developing a number of projects with various studios.

The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Adewale Martins, has noted that Reverend Fr. Ejike Mbaka, could be banned from preaching if he continues to deviate from the doctrines and tenets of the Catholic Church. During an interview with BBC Igbo and monitored by Naija News, Martins while reacting to Mbaka’s prophecy that Hope Uzodinma would emerge as governor of Imo State. Recall that, Mbaka had on New Year’s Eve prophesied that Uzodinma would emerge as governor in 2020, a prophecy which came to pass on Tuesday when the Supreme Court sacked Emeka Ihedioha and named Uzodinma as the duly elected governor.
